In Memoriam...

Jo Avis Moore, MDA

Decorative Painting lost one of its shining lights with the death of Jo Avis Moore on April 15, 2016. Jo Avis will be remembered for her beautiful works of art – especially fruit and flowers. She painted in all Mediums, but oils were her favorite. She touched many decorative artists with her encouragement and kindness to others. She was a beautiful woman and a beautiful artist. The Museum is fortunate to have six pieces of hers in the Collection.
